Download the Blitz Basic Public Demo, as well as updates which work for both the demo and the commercial release.

The demo version of Blitz Basic is virtually complete except that you can't create standalone executables and the documentation is very limited at present. The commercial release by Guildhall Leisure contains full documentation in both paper and electronic format. Once you have Blitz installed, head on over to the public forums for help on getting started!

Download the main installation

If you don't yet have Blitz installed, download Public Demo 1.27 and double-click the file to install it. A shortcut will be placed in your Start Menu by default.

If you do already have Blitz Demo 1.15 or later, just download the binaries here, and extract to your BlitzBasic\bin\ folder.

You should also download the updated binaries if your copy of the commercial release is older than version 1.27 and follow the same procedure to update.

Updated Blitz Basic binaries

If you do have Blitz Basic (version 1.15 or above) installed, just extract the contents of the zip file below into your BlitzBasic\bin\ folder (let Windows overwrite the existing files if it asks). If this procedure causes you any problems, please contact Blitz Support and we'll get you going!

If this release causes you any problems, install the 1.20 binaries temporarily and contact Blitz Support.
